Yoga Website Templates

I don’t recommend downloading a standalone paid or free yoga website template. Here’s why:

Regular old websites slapped up in hand-coded HTML or free site builders provided by web hosts generally don’t have RSS feeds.

RSS stands for “really simple syndication,” and is a way to syndicate your content to other websites. This is a very easy way to promote your site, as these other sites generally link back to yours. And the more backlinks, the better.

I recommend using WordPress, which is free software you can use to build great yoga websites and yoga blogs. Use GreenGeeks for your hosting, and you will not only get a free domain name for your site, but you can also install WordPress in one-click. Read more about this.

Though there are no yoga themes for WordPress that I could recommend (maybe we’ll do a yoga WordPress theme competition soon), it is easy enough to alter a paid or free wordpress theme to make it perfect for your yoga website — put an OM symbol, your logo, or simply your photo in the header, and you’re good to go.

There is a learning curve to using WordPress for your yoga website. However, it is a much shorter learning curve, I’ve found, than with other free content management systems (CMS) like Joomla or Drupal, which also provide RSS feeds to syndicate your content.

If you don’t have the time or energy to put into learning WordPress, then I highly recommend SBI, which builds your website from the ground up in a highly effective way. You don’t need to know a thing about web marketing, yoga website design, or search engine optimization. SBI takes care of it all for you, you learn in the process, and in a relatively short period of time you can build a very effective online presence for your yoga business.

To see how effective SBI is for yoga and other service-oriented businesses, take a look at this page.

Need help getting started? Want someone who knows what they’re doing to do it for you? No problem.
